In 2016, Artist Articles, Artists

Tucked away in small, nondescript barn, not too far from downtown Middlebury, is Tom Dunne’s woodworking studio. From the street, one may never realize what stunning works of art are being created inside the humble, little gray building. But stepping inside, one can not help but be mesmerized by the whir of the lathe, and the precision with which Dunne turns chunks of downed trees into beautiful treasures of both decorative and functional wood vessels.
