Date: December 7th 11AM – 4PM
This 5 hour session is designed around the creation of a felted art piece. After we touch on the history of wet-felting and the wool’s source, you will be guided through the techniques to turn fiber into felt. You will be provided with local and ethically sourced wool and will create your own felted piece to take home at the end. Finished pieces can be mounted as a wall piece or used as decorative art. In the wet felting process, water is applied to layers of sheep wool while repeated agitation and compression causes the fibers to hook together or weave together into a single piece of fabric.
Location: The Viewing Room at Old Main Gallery 133 E. Main Street
