Special Exhibit: James P. Blair “Chicago”

Saturday, May 28th, 11am-2pm

James P. Blair, retired National Geographic Photographer, was present at and photographed an impressive list of major world events including the funerals of John F. Kennedy Jr. and Winston Churchill, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech. He also traveled aboard Jacques Cousteau’s ship and aided in the transport of Vietnamese refugees during the war. Now settled in Middlebury, VT, he will exhibit an intimate collection of photographs, taken in 1954, of a family living in Chicago’s south end. The emotional magnetism of the images Mr. Blair has captured tell a poignant and bitter sweet story that continues to be relevant today.

This special exhibit will be on view from May 23rd – June 12th.
