“My work is a translation of everyday scenes and objects using color, light and form. I work from life and in my studio using my photography as a guide. I am obsessed with shadows and their relationship to light. Once I capture the essence of a painting, I abandon the actual image and create from within to develop an abstracted painting the viewer can identify with. It is a privilege to paint and show my work.”
