Susan Raber Bray: Natural Materials Weaving Workshop

Rediscover the natural world by learning to weave with local found materials such as weeping willow branches, grasses, flower stems, stalks, cattails, Queen Ann’s Lace, tree and shrub prunings, and any stalk you can find in your garden or field. Focus during this workshop will be on making 2-dimensional pieces such as wall hangings, place mats, table runners, floor mats, and window shades. Students will use a simple loom provided by Susan. If possible please collect materials to bring to the workshop.

Come join Susan and become more aware of our environmentas a source of materials, inspiration, and inquiry! Cost is $150 for the 1-day work shop and includes 5 hours of instruction plus 1 hour break with a catered lunch.
