Designs in Geometry: A Collection of Fine Jewelry by Ashka Dymel

For the first time in our gallery’s history, Edgewater presents a solo exhibition of fine art to wear. “Designs in Geometry: A Collection of Fine Jewelry by Ashka Dymel”, will be on view for the month of March at our Merchant’s Row location. Dymel will present a collection of statement pieces that will be displayed individually throughout the gallery. As the exhibition “Weimar, Dessau, Berlin: The Bauhaus as School and Laboratory”, opens at the Middlebury College Museum of Art, we celebrate the theme by featuring the jewelry artist’s work which is inspired by the principles of the Bauhaus. Ashka Dymel writes: “My goal is to achieve harmony in modular repetitions and variations on geometric forms.” Each of Ashka Dymel’s pieces is a distinct structural composition of stones captured in metal framework. Visually dynamic in color, composition and structure, the collection is clearly fine art craft to wear.
