Steven P. Goodman – Opening Reception

For over 40 years I lived in Vermont and created artwork grounded by my experience here. Then, in a blink of an eye, my wife and I sold our home and moved out of state. I found myself separated from the landscape I loved… the rolling hills, the majestic mountains, the green forests and wandering rivers, the unfolding vistas. The newest paintings in this body of work are not just landscape abstractions, they are a tribute to the state, inspired by the dream of Vermont that I carry within me.
