It is a terrific shot – a wonderful geographic locator offering a different view of Middlebury. The photo was executed in a very good way — all the elements were controlled: exposure, contrast, detail in the buildings, how the sky adds to a sense of depth. This picture gives a strong impression of the wildness of Vermont, even in an urban setting. We are beholden to the forces of nature. – James P. Blair
