Edgewater Gallery is buzzing with events this summer. From opening our second location, “Edgewater on the Green” at 6 Merchants Row, to planning and preparing for our fall fairs, there is always something new and exciting happening at the galleries.
This Friday, for the Middlebury Arts Walk, Edgewater will be hosting two events! One at each of our locations.
Bob Schatz’s opening reception for “Spaces” will be hosted at our 1 Mill Street location. “Spaces” is a captivating collection of work featuring famous southern authors’ homes exploring the idea of place as inspiration.
Schatz’s craft has a proven track record of over thirty-five years, and his work is frequently seen in print and internet advertising, corporate brochures, annual reports, books and magazines. His clientele includes Time magazine, McMillian Publishing, Honeywell International, HCA, and many others. His artworks have been exhibited around the country and are included in the permanent collections of museums, corporations, and private collectors.
At our new, second location, Edgewater on the Green at 6 Merchants Row, we are hosting a meet & greet with artist Julia Purinton. Come out and meet Julia, discuss her work, process and inspiration.
“My paintings begin when a landscape resonates with my own emotional or psychological experience. Working in the studio from sketches & photographs over a period of weeks or months, I strive to produce an image that evokes a memory and sense of moment.”
Join us from 5-7pm this Friday, August 14th during the Middlebury Arts Walk for light refreshment, good conversation, and stunning art.
