Julia Purinton lives and has her studio in Warren, Vermont. She is a landscape painter who paints in a tonalist style, focusing on her emotional response to the landscape versus a literal translation. She wants the viewer to recognize an emotion rather than a specific site. Her work is characterized by its ethereal and tranquil qualities. On Sunday at Addison West we will be exhibiting new work from Julia. Gallery director Theresa Harris will be in the store to help with inquiries and information about the new collection and to discuss Edgewater’s art consulting offerings in partnership with Addison West’s interior design services.

Julia Purinton lives in the Mad River Valley of Vermont. She graduated with a degree in Fine Arts and went on to study at The School of Fine Arts in New York City. She exhibits widely throughout the US and her work is included in both private and corporate collections.
